We deeply regret to inform you that the measures imposed by the German authorities to counteract the corona virus pandemic unfortunately prevent an in-person EAC2020. We are therefore forced to cancel this year’s in-person EAC in Aachen. After consulting German authorities and the convention center Eurogress, we came to the conclusion, that a successful conference under the strict regulations would not be possible with a number of participants that ensures a true EAC experience. Thus, the desired exchange of scientists among each other and customer contact for our sponsors would not be possible. We, the local organizing committee, are currently working hard on an off-site solution that offers the excellent work of the submitting scientists and the reviewers as well as our sponsors a platform with the best possible visibility that can be achieved under these circumstances. Please be patient and give us some time to reach this goal. Scientific work continues. The authors just received the results of the reviewing process. We will publish the form in which the individual contributions can be presented to the scientific community later. It is heart breaking for the local organizers to send this message. For more than four years we had planned a fantastic EAC for you and we are desperately sad that we have to cancel the in-person convention with the checkered flag directly in sight now.
